We’re excited to introduce new enhancements that improve privacy law compliance and user experience in CookieScript!

1. Support for 19 privacy laws 🌍
We’ve expanded our privacy law coverage! CookieScript now supports 19 different privacy regulations worldwide.
Users can now see which laws apply when selecting an option and whether the selected setting aligns with each law.
Supported regulations now include:

• GDPR (EU)
• LGPD (Brazil)
• CCPA/CPRA (California, USA)
• eprivacy Directive (ePR) (EU)
• UK GDPR (United Kingdom)
• PIPEDA (Canada)
• PDPA (Singapore, Thailand, and others)
• POPIA (South Africa)
• APPI (Japan)
• Privacy Act 1988 (Australia)
• FADP (Switzerland)
• Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand)
• VCDPA (Virginia, USA)
• CPA (Colorado, USA)
• CTDPA (Connecticut, USA)
• UCPA (Utah, USA)
• DPDPA (India)
• PDPL (Saudi Arabia)
• PDPL (Argentina)

Only 3 privacy laws will be displayed by default. To see the full list, click the arrow next to an option.
If no specific regulations are selected, the most commonly used ones (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD) will be shown by default.

When users select privacy laws for a specific setting, those selections will now apply to all banners and all other settings automatically—simplifying compliance management across multiple sites.

To change the four displayed privacy laws, open the cooke banner Settings and click the pen icon next to the desired option. A window will appear showing privacy laws. To select the desired privacy law to be displayed, click the pin icon next to the privacy regulation name.
