1. Subject matter
These Terms of Service constitute the Agreement that regulates all relations between:

(referred to hereafter as “CookieScript”) and a customer regarding the use of CookieScript services (the “Services”) under the URL: https://cookie-script.com/ and through third-party marketplaces, including but not limited to the Webflow Marketplace: https://webflow.com/marketplace.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Services. These Terms of Service (collectively, with CookieScript's Privacy Policy, located at https://cookie-script.com/legal/privacy-policy) apply to all users of the Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of an entity, organization, or company, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind such organization to these Terms of Service and you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service on behalf of such organization.
Buying, installing, or using CookieScript products or services, including the CookieScript Webflow App, implies that the user/customer has both read and accepted these Terms of Service. This is also indicated by a mandatory checkbox/dropdown during registration, purchase of membership, or installation via marketplace platforms. CookieScript reserves the right to change or modify current Terms of Service without prior notice.
2. The Services
CookieScript Services allow you to display a pop-up notification box (the “Pop-up”), that can be used on your website for different purposes. It may be used to inform your website visitors about your website's Privacy Policy and Cookie usage, to collect and record user consent, to conditionally activate or block scripts based on consent categories, and to configure consent mode integrations, including compatibility with Google Consent Mode v2.
CookieScript also provides a Webflow App available through the Webflow Marketplace. The Webflow App integrates CookieScript’s Consent Management Platform (CMP) into websites built on the Webflow platform by connecting your Webflow account to CookieScript infrastructure, injecting and managing JavaScript on your site’s front-end, storing configuration settings, and maintaining communication between your website and CookieScript’s cloud systems. The Webflow App is a technical integration tool only and does not independently interpret laws or guarantee regulatory outcomes.
CookieScript is only the service provider and it is your own responsibility to ensure correct settings and implementation of CookieScript are used on your website in case you use it to comply with a certain law, regulation, or directive, including but not limited to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the EU eprivacy Directive, UK GDPR, CCPA, or any other applicable laws. Use of the Services does not by itself make your website compliant with any regulation. Compliance depends on your specific circumstances and legal obligations.
You remain solely responsible for determining the lawful basis of your data processing activities, drafting and maintaining accurate Privacy and Cookie Policies, properly configuring consent categories, and ensuring that any integrations, including consent mode implementations, are configured correctly.
CookieScript offers a set of options for the Pop-up and related functionality, which is constantly updated to ensure Services cover as many customers' needs as possible.
CookieScript organizes server resources in a way to provide a high level of service with at least 99.9% uptime on the operation of the cloud service, both website and script hosting. The stated uptime level is an operational goal and does not constitute a contractual service level agreement.
3. Webflow Platform Disclaimer
The CookieScript Webflow App operates within the Webflow ecosystem. Webflow is an independent third-party platform. CookieScript is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or controlled by Webflow unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Your use of Webflow is governed entirely by Webflow’s own terms of service and policies. CookieScript bears no responsibility for platform outages, degraded performance, API limitations, access restrictions, infrastructure changes, or policy updates introduced by Webflow that may impact the functionality of the Webflow App. Should Webflow modify its API or technical infrastructure in a way that affects the App, CookieScript will make reasonable efforts to adapt but does not guarantee continued compatibility or uninterrupted operation.
4. Membership subscriptions
Purchasing a membership will give you access to additional CookieScript functionality and premium support. All functionality you get is described on the Pricing Page here https://cookie-script.com/pricing.
By purchasing a paid membership, you agree that:
- There is no warranty or in any other way any form of liability on the side of CookieScript beyond what is expressly stated in these Terms.
- CookieScript reserves the right to offer discounts or permanent price changes at any moment, without prior notice.
Subscriptions may be tied to a specific account, domain, or connected platform account, including Webflow accounts. The account that purchased the membership cannot be shared. Sharing or other methods that allow multiple users to access the same account are strictly forbidden and may result in termination of the account and support.
4.1. Free membership
Free Membership users are not allowed to download or modify JavaScript files used to show cookie pop-up warning messages. Violation of those rules may result in termination of the account and support that comes with Free Membership.
User or company can register only one free account at CookieScript. Registering multiple accounts may result in the suspension of those accounts and blacklisting of the domains from those accounts.
Free Membership user’s Pop-up displays a copyright text with a link to Cookie-Script.com which is not allowed to be removed. Trying to modify source code and remove links to Cookie-Script.com may result in termination of the account and free support.
4.2. Paid memberships
Users that have purchased functionality to self-host JavaScript files are allowed to download, modify, and publish JavaScript files that are used to show the Pop-up to fit the user's purposes without prior notice, if such functionality is included in their selected plan.
Paid Membership duration, price, and other limitations are described on the Pricing page and can be modified without prior notice. Your Paid Membership limitations and functionality are locked to your account during purchase and will not be reduced during the active membership period. After the membership period finishes and requires renewal, the latest limitations and prices from the Pricing page will apply.
CookieScript feature limitation policy is targeted to keep all the existing functionality the user currently has and only include more functionality with updates where possible.
5. Payments
Payments may be completed through the PayPal or Stripe payment system. We do not store or share any Personal Information associated with a payment (like Credit Card number, owner, or expiration date). Some information available in PayPal and Stripe is stored on PayPal/Stripe as part of the transaction history. More information about what information is stored and processed by payment processors is available on CookieScript's Privacy Policy page.
If the Paid Membership period is limited, a periodic payment will be automatically created in PayPal/Stripe to extend your membership when the initial membership period is over. You can cancel this automatic periodic payment directly in PayPal or in your CookieScript account.
The exact price to be charged is calculated automatically using prices from the Pricing page and provided billing information.
The final charge, including all taxes, will be displayed before the order is made. The amount of VAT, which may be added to the charge, is 21% of the total billing amount and will be added depending on the location and legal entity of the purchaser. According to the European Union Council Directive 2006/112/EC, 21% VAT will be added if the purchaser
- is from Lithuania
- is from within the European Union and does not have a European VAT ID
Customers from the United Kingdom pay UK VAT, which is 20%.
Companies inside the EU (except Lithuania) and all other customers outside the EU pay 0% VAT.
Once payment is complete, you will receive a VAT Invoice with CookieScript company details.
6. Disclaimer
While CookieScript makes every effort to ensure that the content of this website is accurate, the website is provided 'as is' and CookieScript makes no representations or warranties in relation to the accuracy or completeness of the information found on it. While the content of cookie-script.com is provided with the utmost care and attention, we do not warrant that the information will always be up to date, be true and not misleading, or that this site will always (or ever) be available for use. This also includes any legal information related to cookie usage on websites.
We do not warrant that the servers that make this website available will be an error, virus, or bug-free and you accept that it is your responsibility to make adequate provisions for protection against such threats. We recommend scanning any files before downloading them.
Nothing on this website, including through the Webflow App, should be taken to constitute professional or legal advice or a formal recommendation and we exclude all representations and warranties relating to the content and use of this site. In no event will CookieScript be liable for any incidental, indirect, consequential, or special damages of any kind, or any damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, those resulting from loss of profit, loss of contracts, goodwill, data, information, income, anticipated savings or business relationships, whether or not advised of the possibility of such damage, arising out of or in connection with the use of this website or any linked websites.
7. Warranty
CookieScript products and services are provided 'as is' without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. In no event shall the juridical person of CookieScript be liable for any damages including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or other losses arising out of the use of or inability to use CookieScript products or services.
We cannot guarantee that our products or services will function with all websites or third-party platforms. This includes limitations arising from website builders, Webflow infrastructure, third-party scripts, browser changes, ad blockers, analytics tools, or advertising platforms.
CookieScript is not responsible for any fines users might get for not following the EU e-Privacy Directive, EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), or any other laws, directives, or regulations. It is the user's own responsibility to make sure his website is compliant with the EU e-Privacy Directive and EU General Data Protection Regulation. CookieScript is designed to provide necessary technical means for adding cookie Pop-up messages on user websites and clear cookies before user consent (if possible). It is also the user's own responsibility to make a GDPR compliant Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Though we cannot control all the sites or customers that use CookieScript, we do not support or allow for use of our products or services on adult or gambling sites, sites with illegal content, or sites that are considered toxic websites. Accounts that violate this requirement can be suspended without prior notice.
8. Limitation of Liability for Loss or Damage
In conjunction with the Disclaimer and Warranty as explained above, you expressly understand and agree that any claim against us shall be limited to the amount you paid, if any, for use of Services during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. CookieScript will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or exemplary loss or damage which may be incurred by you as a result of using our Services, including data loss, regulatory penalties, reputational damage, or service interruptions, to the full extent that applicable limitation of liability laws apply.
9. Support
All CookieScript users are eligible for free support provided by email. Support can be contacted using a Contact Form or using a Support Form on the account page. In case of many support requests, additional Chat Support will be available on all Cookie-Script.com pages.
While CookieScript makes every effort to ensure high quality and fast support, sometimes it can take up to 72 hours to get a reply from CookieScript Support. Most times during the day user can expect an answer from CookieScript Support within a few hours.
In case of any bugs/errors found by users, CookieScript Support makes all efforts to fix those errors/bugs.
CookieScript reserves the right to limit or cancel support in the following situations:
- unreasonable behavior by the client; such as bad language, racism, etc.;
- continued/repeating (server) issues that cannot (or should not) be resolved by CookieScript;
- the client is not cooperative in providing additional details on the issues raised.

CookieScript offers a full money-back guarantee for a period of 7 days after purchase. In case of a refund, the user’s account will be completely deleted.
Users have the possibility to try the free CookieScript version and see if it works correctly on the user's website.
Free Membership users can also get Paid Membership for a limited time to test all Paid Membership features and compatibility with their website.
In order to get a refund, the user must:
- contact CookieScript Support and explain a reason for a refund;
- give CookieScript Support a possibility to fix a bug/error if the bug/error is the reason for a refund.
In case a bug/error is related to CookieScript, CookieScript Support cannot fix the bug/error and the user met all requirements above, the user can ask for a full refund (excluding possible transaction costs).
11. Duration and Termination
We provide our services as a subscription, and services are accessible during the subscription period until termination of the subscription.
We may suspend or end your access to our products or services if necessary, for example, if these Terms of Service are violated. We may also at any time, at our sole discretion, discontinue the products, website, or services or any part thereof without prior notice and you agree that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your access to the products, website or services.
12. Copyright & ownership
The customer may not claim intellectual or exclusive ownership to any CookieScript products, modified or unmodified. All products are and remain the property of CookieScript except where the ownership clearly lies with other parties (such as for third-party libraries). CookieScript respects the intellectual property of others. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact us about the matter.
13. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lithuania. This choice of jurisdiction does not, however, deprive you of any mandatory protections afforded to you under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence, where such laws apply
14. Consumer Rights
This section applies exclusively to natural persons who use CookieScript services for purposes unrelated to their business, trade, craft, or profession ("Consumers").
If you are a Consumer, the rights described in this section are granted to you by law and cannot be waived or restricted by contract.
14.1. Right of Withdrawal
As a Consumer who has entered into a distance contract (e.g., online purchase), you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason and without incurring any costs other than those specified by law.
The 14-day withdrawal period begins from the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise this right, you must inform CookieScript of your decision to withdraw by submitting a clear written statement via:
- The Support Form in your account;
- Email to CookieScript's support address.
You may use the model withdrawal form provided by applicable regulations, but this is not mandatory.
Digital Services Exception: If you have explicitly requested that the provision of the digital service begin before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period, and you have acknowledged that you will lose your right of withdrawal upon full performance of the contract, you may not withdraw once the service has been fully performed. By purchasing and immediately activating a CookieScript subscription, you may be making such a request. CookieScript will seek your explicit consent and acknowledgment before processing any such early commencement.
14.2. Effects of Withdrawal
Upon valid withdrawal, CookieScript shall reimburse all payments received from you, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date CookieScript receives your withdrawal notice. Reimbursement shall be made using the same payment method as the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise, and provided you do not incur additional fees as a result.
Where withdrawal is exercised before the service has been fully performed, CookieScript may charge a proportionate amount corresponding to the services actually provided up to the point of withdrawal, if you had explicitly requested early
commencement of the service.
14.3. Right to Enforce Consumer Rights
If CookieScript violates your consumer rights, you are entitled to seek redress through:
- CookieScript's support and complaints process (see Section 9);
- The State Consumer Rights Protection Authority of the Republic of Lithuania (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba);
- Courts of competent jurisdiction.
