How to disable cookies on Android?

To disable cookies on an Android phone or tablet, you have to change the settings of your browser app. Please read the guide on how to disable cookies on an Android phone or tablet in the Chrome app.

How to disable cookies on Android in the Chrome app?

To disable or third-party cookies in Chrome on your Android phone or tablet, perform the following steps:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.
  2. Tap More (three dots at the top right) > Settings.
  3. Tap Site settings and then Third-Party Cookies.
  4. Select an option:
    Allow Third-Party Cookies.
    Block Third-Party Cookies in Incognito.
    Block Third-Party Cookies.
  5. To disable third-party cookies, select
    Block third-party cookies in Incognito (it blocks third-party cookies but still allows first-party cookies in Incognito mode), or
    Block third-party cookies
    (it blocks third-party cookies every time).

If you are using the Tracking Protection, perform the following steps to disable cookies in a DuckDuckGo Private Browser for Android:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.
  2. Tap More (three dots at the top right) > Settings.
  3. Click Privacy and security > Tracking Protection.
  4. Select one of these options:
    Block all third-party cookies.
    Send “Do not track” request with your browsing traffic.
    Choose which sites you allow to use third-party cookies.

Done, you have disabled cookies on your Android mobile phone or tablet in Chrome.

For other apps, go to Settings > Privacy or Site settings > Cookies, and turn cookies off.
